Walden Glen Swim & Racquet Club was established in 1969 and our membership has steadily grown year by year. We have a convenient, but out-of-the-way location off Carrleigh Parkway, a beautiful pool, tennis, basketball and volleyball court, and a spacious picnic area. Our swim and dive teams compete in the Northern Virginia Swimming League (NVSL), the nation's best summer swim program. And our annual fees give your family a place to relax and have fun all summer for about what you would spend for one night's lodging in Ocean City.

Pool Hours

Maintenance
The pool doesn't get prepped for the season every year by itself. Our Maintenance Directors coordinate the Work Days in the spring and fall to get the pool ready for business.

Only 4 hours work to get $75 Maintenance Fee refund.

Pavilion Use
The Pavilion area is available to members for parties of 10 or more. Reservations are required and must be made with Doug Smith, our Operations Director, (703) 644-2138, at least 1 week in advance. Doug maintains a calendar listing all reservations and may limit reservations to no more than two per day. Your reservation entitles your group to use the Pavilion and one of the grills for the time specified. It does not restrict other members from using the second grill, any tables left unused by the group, the soft drink machine or the snack bar. The Pavilion will not be reserved beyond 8:30 p.m. (7:30 p.m. on school nights) to allow for timely clean-up and departure. A $40 deposit is required for use of the pavilion. If after using the facility, you leave it in a clean and orderly condition, then $15 of the $40 will be refunded. Please note that inclement weather which would cause the pool to close also forces closure of the pavilion area as well. The pavilion does not provide proper cover in case of thunder, lightning, high winds, etc.

Mailing List
Walden Glen maintains a mailing list with Yahoo! Groups to provide timely pool updates to members. To ensure only members are able to join, we are maintaining a restricted group, meaning you can't join without an invitation. If you would like to join the waldenglen group, please send an email to Peter Storch or waldenglen@pool.org requesting an invitation, and include your name and pool member number. When you receive your invitation, just follow the instructions to join the group. An invitation to join the group is active for 30 days. If you already have a Yahoo! ID, or you create one when joining the group, you will have access to the group website (after signing in), sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/waldenglen/, and will be able to view all messages posted to the group online. You do not have to have a Yahoo! ID to join the waldenglen group and receive group emails. Any group member can post a message to all members of the group, by sending an email to waldenglen@yahoogroups.com from their registered email address.
